Texts and calls from DropIn

You choose if DropIn can text or call you. There are three separate switches, and all of them are off until you turn them on. You can use DropIn without them.

Texts and calls are available for verified US phone numbers only.

The three switches

  1. Booking texts and urgent updates: texts about your bookings and account, and urgent updates about your child. For example booking confirmations, reminders, and check-in and pickup updates.
  2. Offer texts: DropIn offers and news, for example free-day and discount offers. Up to 4 messages a month.
  3. Calls, including AI calls: DropIn may call you, also with an AI-generated or prerecorded voice, about booking confirmations, urgent updates about your child, and DropIn childcare offers.

Each switch shows its full terms next to it. Turning on a switch is your consent. It is not a condition of buying anything or of using DropIn. Message and data rates may apply.

Where to find them

  • After you verify a US phone number, the app shows Stay in touch with the three switches.
  • Any time later: Account > Notifications > Texts and calls.

When a switch is on, it shows On since and the date.

Turn them off

  • Turn off the switch in Account > Notifications, or
  • Reply STOP to any DropIn text, or
  • Say "stop calling" during a call.

Reply HELP to any DropIn text for help.

After you reply STOP

The texts switch shows You turned off texts by replying STOP, and you cannot turn it back on in the app. To turn texts on again, contact us at dropin.care/contact or tap Account > Contact support.

If you change your phone number

All three switches turn off. We ask you again for the new number.
