# Rooms and age groups

Switch on each age group you serve, and DropIn creates a room for it with its own capacity, open days and prices.

## Open Rooms & capacity

- **Desktop:** in the left sidebar, under **Business**, click **Pricing & Schedule**, then the **Rooms & capacity** tab.
- **Phone app:** tap **More** in the bottom tab bar, then **Pricing & Schedule**, then **Rooms & capacity**.

You can also tap **Set up rooms with age groups & pricing** in the setup list on your dashboard.

## Switch on an age group

Each age group has its own card with its age range, for example **Infant**, **Toddler** or **Preschool**.

1. Find the age group you serve.
2. Turn on its switch.

A new room opens Monday to Friday with 10 spots a day. Change these to match your center.

To stop serving an age group, turn its switch off. Parents can no longer book it. Its settings are kept, so if you switch it back on, they come back.

## Set capacity and open days

When an age group is on, its card shows **Pricing** and **Capacity & open days**.

1. In **Base capacity**, enter the most children this room can hold at any moment.
2. Tap a day name to open or close that day. A closed day shows **Closed**.
3. For each open day, enter the number of drop-in spots. If a day has more spots than the base capacity, the box is highlighted so you can check it.
4. To give every open day the same number as your base capacity, tap **Copy capacity to all days**.
5. Tap **Save room**.

If you leave without saving, the card shows **Unsaved changes**.

## Add prices

A room needs prices before parents can book it. Until you add them, the card shows the reminder "**Add pricing** so parents can book this room." See "Set your prices".

## Age range on your profile

During setup, you also set **Ages served** (the youngest and oldest age you take). This is separate from the age groups you switch on here.
