# How package sales are paid

When a parent buys a package of days from you, DropIn pays you once for the whole package, soon after the sale.
---

## How it works

1. A parent buys one of your packages (for example, a 10-day package).
2. Shortly after the sale, DropIn sends your share of the full package price to your Stripe account. There is no wait for the days to be used.
3. You get a notification: "Package sale paid out".
4. Each time the parent uses a day from the package, the booking shows **Prepaid package** on your Earnings screen with a net of $0.00. You were already paid for that day.

Your share is worked out the same way as for a booking: the card processing fee comes off first, then the DropIn platform fee on what is left. See "Understand your fees".

## Where to see package sales

Open **Earnings & Payouts** (on your phone, tap **Earnings**). Package sales show in the **Earnings Breakdown** table on the day the parent bought the package. The row shows the package (for example "10-day package"), the parent's name, the amounts and the payout status. They are also included in the summary cards and the CSV export.

## If the parent cancels

A parent can cancel a package for a full refund only if both of these are true:

- They have not used any day from it yet.
- They bought it a short time ago (within the cooling-off window).

If that happens, the money we sent you for the package is taken back in full. The payout shows **Reversed**. If we had not sent it yet, the payout shows **Skipped**.

After a day is used, or after the cooling-off window ends, the parent cannot cancel the package for a refund this way. Days the parent never uses do not change what you were paid.

## Before you can be paid

Package payouts follow the same rules as bookings. If Stripe is not connected or your license is not verified yet, the payout waits. It shows **Connect Stripe to get paid** or **On hold until your license is verified**. We send it automatically once both are done.

## Older packages

Some packages bought before the current package rules are still paid per day used, like a normal booking.
