# Connect Stripe to get paid

DropIn pays you through Stripe, so you connect a Stripe account before any earnings can reach your bank.

## Open Payment Setup

- **Desktop:** in the left sidebar, under **Financial**, click **Earnings & Payouts**, then the **Payment Setup** tab.
- **Phone app:** tap **Earnings** in the bottom tab bar, then the **Payment Setup** tab.

You can also tap **Connect Stripe for payments** in the setup list on your dashboard.

## Connect your account

1. Tap **Connect with Stripe**.
2. Stripe opens. On the phone app, it opens in a browser window inside the app. Close it when you are done to return to DropIn.
3. Follow Stripe's steps to set up your account and enter your details.
4. When you finish, come back to **Payment Setup**.

If you stop before you finish, you see **Stripe Setup Incomplete**. Tap **Continue Stripe Setup** to go back to Stripe and finish, or **Check Status** to refresh.

## After you submit your details

You see **Your details have been submitted** and **Stripe is verifying your account**. This usually takes a few minutes but can take up to 24 hours. Payments turn on by themselves when Stripe finishes. Tap **Check verification status** to refresh.

When it is done, you see **Stripe Connected**.

## The Stripe status bar

The **Overview** tab of **Earnings & Payouts** shows a status bar:

- **Stripe not connected. Set up payments to receive earnings.** Tap **Set Up Stripe**.
- **Stripe setup incomplete.** Tap **Complete setup**.
- **Stripe is verifying your account. Payouts start once it is verified.**
- **Stripe Connected.** Payouts are processed automatically by Stripe. Tap **Open Stripe Dashboard** to see your Stripe account.

## Bookings before Stripe is connected

You can take bookings before you connect Stripe. Your earnings are held until you connect Stripe. Payouts also wait until we verify your license. See "Verify your license".

## Business info

The **Business Info** tab (under **Business**) holds your business structure for payment processing: your business type and legal representative. Keep it correct. See "Complete your center profile".
