# Cancel a booking and get a refund

## Cancel a booking

1. Open the booking in the **Bookings** tab.
2. Tap **Cancel Booking**.
3. Read the center's cancellation policy and the refund summary.
4. Choose a reason: Plans changed, Child is sick, Weather, or Other.
5. Tap **Cancel booking**.

You can cancel any time before your child is checked in, also on the day of the booking. After check-in, contact the center.

## Each center sets its own policy

The cancel screen shows the policy of that center. It is one of these:

- **Free cancellation any time before drop-off**, or
- **Free cancellation up to a number of hours before drop-off.** After that, a late-cancel fee applies. The fee is a fixed amount or a percentage, set by the center.

Times are measured in the center's local time.

## How you get your money back

Refunds go to your **DropIn credits**, not back to your card. The credits are in your wallet at once and apply automatically to your next booking. Refund credit does not expire.

The refund summary shows:

- **Booking total**
- **Late-cancel fee**, if one applies
- **Back on your package**, if you paid with a package
- **DropIn credit**: the amount you get back

## Multi-day bookings

If you booked several days, you can cancel the upcoming days together. The app shows how much DropIn credit you get, after any late-cancel fees.

## If the center cancels

If the center cancels your booking, you get the full amount back as DropIn credit.
